Holiday Recycling Program

"Holiday Recycling 2005"

This Holiday Season . . .

Give a Gift To Our County!

By Recycling EVERYTHING You Can from your Holiday Parties and Dinners - Starting at Thanksgiving

And Hopefully, Never Stopping!

What Can You Recycle?

  • Glass - glass bottles and jars, sort by color, remove all lids

  • Paper - newspaper inserts, magazines, Christmas cards, wrapping paper (NOTE:  CANNOT RECYCLE PHONE BOOKS AND RIBBONS)

  • Cardboard - cardboard boxes (not any with oil or paraffin residue); boxes for toys, perfumes etc, gift boxes, cracker, cereal, other food boxes

  • Aluminum - drink cans, aluminum foil rolled in a tight ball, disposable aluminum baking pans (pie pans, roaster, etc), aluminum food cans

  • Plastic - bottles and jugs with 1 or 2 on bottom, drink bottles, milk jugs, bleach and detergent bottles

  • Steel - food cans

Reduction is an even better way to contribute.  Use as much as you can that won't go to the garbage can - avoid disposable kitchenware.
